We believe unbiased, plain, common sense news reporting is long overdue in the Duchy.

The Cornish have a noble history of independence, endurance, and – when pushed to it – revolt.

Well, as journalists, and just as people, we feel we’ve been pushed to it.

Pushed to it by tired, 200 year old newspapers that rip us off when we want to make a family announcement or let a spare room, and that bungle, censor or just ignore our daily community news, in favour of sucking up to their establishment pals and incompetently aping the old national papers.

We know we can build a popular and intelligent news forum that will batter down the doorways of the information prison the old press shut us in and break us out to found a new, free and truly democratic online media.

But we need YOU to help us.

Because we don’t just need you to read our news.

We need you to WRITE it.

What’s news?

Everything.

Everything from the birth of your baby to the weekend village fete.
