Check out snapper Steve's incredible pic of sea-mist rolling over the Duchy

These stunning shots of the Cornish landscape are, incredibly, by a self-taught snapper.

Camborne photographer Steven Ratcliffe takes stunning land and seascapes of Cornwall with a Canon eos 550d.

Steven’s shot above of the mist rolling over Camborne and Redruth from Carn Brea is doing to proverbial rounds on Facebook.

The 34 year old artist explained: “I’ve been taking pictures for 5 or 6 years now in some form or another.

“I learned by doing nightlife and event photography, so I was constantly in lowlight and fast moving places.

“I had to learn to be constantly ready for something to happen to get a good shot.

“The lowlight in the clubs gave me an appreciation for colour which is what my photography is all about.

“Cornwall has a beautiful landscape and I love going out for walks and appreciating what the countryside has to offer.

“So when I started doing some landscapes I wanted to make sure that each photo I did was as colourful as I could make it.

“That’s why I like to shoot at dawn or dusk, as that’s when the sky gives off the most colour.

“I have not long been doing Cornish Landscapes and I will be doing many more in the months to come.

“I want to explore the well known and not so well known places throughout the region.”
