HE’S GOT SOME NECK

A Liskeard internet music radio presenter reversed a dangerous web-trend by taking a stand against Facebook user’s ‘neck and nominate’ craze.

Ashley Abernethie turned down an offer to best a pal in the gross viral video sensation.

The eat music presenter told social media: “Cheers Pat, tbh, seen it all now, people necking piss, dog food, goldfish, other peoples piss, disgusting amounts of alcohol, in a pint glass.

“It’s getting a bit out of hand and to create loads of likes, I’m probably going to have to do something that’s going to hurt me.”

39,894 Facebook users ‘liked’ Ash’s short video and 8,029 shared news of his principled stand.

Ironically, his refusal to damage his body for other people’s gratification got him more ‘online cred’ than caving and joining in would have done.

Here’s some of Ashley’s mixing.

Pals Siobhan Howe and Ross Wildman told their friend ‘Well Done’ and said it was a ‘good effort’.

What do you think?

I think what Ashley has done is amazing and hopefully it will put a stop to this pathetic “trend” that’s going around, especially after two lives have been taken because of it x if any of the people doing the “neck nominate” challenge stopped to think of the consequences of their actions this trend wouldn’t of got so far out of control and the family of the boys that have died because of it wouldn’t be grieving now. Well done Ashley you should be so proud of yourself – your actions may have saved lives x
