Neo-Nazis are honing in on Cornish nationalism and trying to claim it as their own.

The Jew-hating loons are using the ‘White Supremacist Wikipedia’ platform Metapedia to suck up to the Cornish with glowing references to Celts and Cornwall

The same site carries outrageous character-assasinations of two leading Celtic nationalists, deriding one as a Trotskyite mole, and another as a ‘typical middle-class English wimp’

Left leaning Cornish blogger Fulub Hosking and former Communist Party member Rhisiart Tal-e-bot are singled out for vitriolic personal attacks.

The writer of Mr Hosking’s entry raves that he is “an English communist of Anglo-Saxon racial origins with strong homosexual undertones”.

And in an increasingly bizarre and clumsy attempt to stir up bigotry amongst regional nationalists the anonymous contributor goes on:

“Because he is not ethnically Cornish, he spends most of his time in a typical middle-class English wimp manner promoting cultural Marxist causes such as homosexuality..”

Meanwhile Mr Tal-e-bot – the democratically elected General Secretary of campaign group the Celtic League – is described as a ‘crafty Marxist of Norman racial background’.

Both men are mocked for choosing the Celtic versions of their original names, and personally attacked on the basis that they are neither of them ‘ethnic Cornish.’

Mr Tal-e-bot is Welsh and was born Richard Stewart Talbot in Merthyr Tydfil. Mr Hosking, a Penrynner who’s settled in Brittany, has adopted a Celtic version of his first name, Philip.

The alarming entries feature pictures of both men and feature an extraordinary amount of detail.

The write-ups are in a format identical to that of Wikipedia, the widely respected online information behemoth set up by philanthropists Jimmy Wales and Larry Sanger

Cornish activists fear some may mistake the two sites and be taken in by Metapedia’s toxic mix of fact and fiction.

Just in case anyone’s wondering whether Metapedia really is run by white supremacists or not, here’s the entry on Adolf Hitler.

And a free years supply of cream cheese Bagels for anyone who can tell us what they might possibly have ommitted to mention there….

Note: We asked Mebyon Kernow leader Dick Cole for an on the record comment about this on Tuesday, and asked again for a comment on Thursday. And we still think the story warrants a comment and that it would be professional and courteous for Cllr Cole to provide one.

I wanted to suggest the following edit for my Metapedia article – and he smells, and he’s stupid, and and and I don’t like him bah – but the site wouldn’t let me.

It’s very kind of you to suggest that I’m a leading Cornish nationalist but that is really not true. If I’m a leading light then the cause of Cornish self-determination must be in a very sorry state. Mr Talbot on the other hand amply fits your description. If only we had twenty more like him.

The fact then that a Metapedia article has been written about me leads me to think that it was penned by a swivel eyed loon who spends far too much time on the internet and far too little time in the real world.

I believe this to be defamation.

I also have my suspicions of the individual responsible. He posts on ‘This is Cornwall’ forum.

The style and prose is almost identical.

Have you considered a letter before action to Metapedia?
