COPS WANT HELP IN HIT AND RUN

A woman in her 50s has been knocked down in a hit and run in Torpoint.

Police are hoping the public can help them catch the culprits as soon as possible.

Here is Devon and Cornwall police’s appeal for help direct from police HQ.

”A local woman in her 50s was struck while walking along a small unclassified road between Military Road and Westhead Road, Whitsand Bay, near Torpoint at about 1:30 on Saturday 26 February 2011.

“She was tended to by several persons prior to the arrival of emergency services.

Police would like to speak to the people who tended to her and any others who may have witnessed the RTC itself or the immediate aftermath.

The woman declined hospital treatment and suffered minor injuries in the incident.
